I used the In Reach on two trips this summer and it worked flawlessly. I paired it to my IPhone and was able to use the phone to text off the satellite. Also the tracking where it sends a text with your position every 10 minutes is terrific. I made a Bahamas crossing alone and had someone track where I was. Very pleased with how it works.

For the money Inreach is the best. The spot phone is just that spotty. Just make sure you have a Epirb
2002 226sf With 2015 Suzuki 150's. Also Raymarine c127/a75 MFD's with CHIRP CP100 Downvision CP200 Sidevision, EVO Autopilot , Digital HD color radar.
