Where did the 33TE go?

Postby BigPineBoy » Fri Feb 22, 2013 11:07 pm

As a 33TE owner, I am amazed at all the forum posts for the 33, but WC does not actively market the boat anymore. It's the best boat WC makes right now. Foot for foot, dollar for dollar, it's the best boat, ride, safety, and fish ability for its price. The 33 will dust most boats up to 42 feet. WC should engage the fisherman, and market this flagship aggressively !!!! Don't like the seating? Buy beanbags. This boat is the ultimate in hardcore fishing machines!!! See u @ parmers resort!

I agree whole heartily!! They have succumbed to the "apple martini" boaters with all the gadgets, bling and eye candy. The days of the simple, no frills, awesome fishing machine,TE (Tournament Edition), have passed us by. I thought they would at least keep 2 models (330TE and 270 TE) dedicated to fishing, instead of making every boat in the WC line, multi-purpose!

I used the In Reach on two trips this summer and it worked flawlessly. I paired it to my IPhone and was able to use the phone to text off the satellite. Also the tracking where it sends a text with your position every 10 minutes is terrific. I made a Bahamas crossing alone and had someone track where I was. Very pleased with how it works.

I also agree. As a 33TE owner World Cat would loose me as a customer in the future if I sell my current boat for a newer model. There are other cat builders that offer similar products that would get my business if the TE's remain discontinued. The powers that be at World Cat should really consider offering the TE models again.
