Larger Fuel Tanks for 330TE

Postby monstermau » Wed Aug 17, 2011 2:05 pm

I wonder if World Cat is going to add larger fuel tanks to the 330TE. I think another 50 gals. would be enough.

The question is where would you put them. There is no room below deck without redesigning the structural bulkheads. Then you have to figure in the extra 600 pounds of fuel weight as it pertains to the CG (center of gravity). I won't begin to mention the hollering that would go on because everyone already wants to do a 35 mph cruise speed... that wouldn't be a reality for sure. I understand that a few of you want more fuel to venture farther and farther offshore but the reality of it is that the boat has to conform more to the general audience. I think the 300 gal setup is an acceptable median number.

If you want more fuel, a quick and easy remedy is to purchase some roll up bladder tanks that stow away easily when empty.

I agree w/Beast. e is a pic of an ATL 100 gal fuel bladder. We have used it on two long range trips. After it empties, it rolls up and stored out of the way.
