Ashley Welding was the OE shop for my top and I believe World Cat still uses them for the new tops as well. I would call them for your transom rod holders.

There are a few folks in the commercial section of THT that do a very nice job of building rod holders. I'm pretty happy with the 8 I have on my bait tank now. Mounted to the same brackets for the foot rest.

This sounds like an option, do you have a pic of your set up?
I think for sure I will be calling Ashley Welding, the website has a World Cat on the home page!

Thanks!

I have not seen wldlfbio's set up and for his fishing it may be great but I would think a set of rod holders on the back of the live well would really be in the way for being in the cockpit while trolling and also getting in out the transom door while diving etc. Rod holders on the rear of the (I believe) needed hard top supports are much less in the way if I understand where the suggested ones on the back of the livewell are supposed to go.

I'll have to snap some pics of bait tank rod holders when I get back to the boat on the 17/18th. Search my user name for a thread about making her more fishable for pics of the CC holders and a pair added to the stern.

Found the link to your bait tank mounted rod holders..viewtopic.php?f=3&t=6964&p=50683#p50683

Personally, I didn't want to loose that 10-12" (even more if spin rods are put there) of cockpit space behind the tank. Also, on my boat 1) people sit on the bait tank when trolling to watch the baits as well as when we are running just to be able to talk to the driver and passenger and 2) we access the bait tank often for not only bait but also sometimes put a plastic bag in there for trash.

One of the reasons for designing my hard top support like I did was to avoid any intrusion into the walking space to the side of the tank and also to avoid losing any cockpit or walkway space.

Of course it is not without any drawback. The rod holders can be hit if you lean into them but heck that is everything on a boat.

The PVC was a seasons item. It's all pretty aluminum now. But, it's useless as a seating area now. We need instant access to the bait tank to convert from troll to fun fishing :). Nothing is allowed on the tank. Everything is five and take on a boat. Nice that there is space to customize it to how you fish. I think a rocket launcher on each side of the top of the hardtop makes sense. Could easily run 3-4 rods on each side from aft towards the bow. Like a big U of rods.

We have a Garmin 4kw 4ft open and can easily see individual and small groups of pelican as we are crossing the bay, that said it certainly lacks the power to see birds at any real distance offshore and is not worth purchasing for that purpose. It is almost a nuisance in the bay at dark as birds paint pretty well and can clutter the screen and get your hackles up.
