I understand you want to replace it to "as close as possibe." But why? Everyone who owns one of these boats has the same problem, and I haven't heard WC offer any solution for the problem. If your cat was a car, it would be a recall or be covered under the lemon law. WC needs to come up with a solution for the problem, and offer to step in and help the thousands of owners who purchased their boats. This industry has a sad way of shrugging thier sholders when it comes time to fix a problem like this. I am sure it's "too expensive", "we cant afford this"

I am currently selling my 266SF, and those damn bolsters are a bone of contention and costing me some money. It pisses me off.
I called Crane interiors last week for a clip and some advice, and I might have gotten better service from the Easter Bunny.

P.S. I bought a 29CC and I would advise anyone considering buying one to contact me before so.

Big Pine you say you have a 266SF ,ie something 10 years old??? and the upholstery is turning pink.
were they recovered by WC within the last 3 years.
A basic new WC boat is warranted for 1 year and the hull 10 years if the new owner tranfers it.
Actually if I were running WC I would only warrantied the hull for 5 years.

Maybe you are bitching about Crane Industries.Did they do a recover; Where are they located . Do they have any affiliation with world cat??

About how much would a new set of cushions cost on a 27 te?
And is there any routine maintenance needed to protect the new ones so they last longer?

inquiry from Phylis in WC CS dated 9-25-08. Our boat was 3 years old with about 3,000 hrs.It just had some tears in the corners,no stains.

We had to have the helm seat recovered locally in Islamorada. Their work was inferior to World Cats and cost a lot more.

Sun light is the main demise of seat cushions and coaming pads.ie cracking.

Pink /purplish stain is not uncommon; just go to your local Winn Dixie's water fountain white now purple mouth guards.

Conehead, My boat is sold and delivered, My bolsters first got colored spots, then got black blotches, and ultimately seperated where the brown and blue came together. My boat was an 02. Why wouldn't WC have an outlet for a full set of replacement cushions? A fresh detail and new vinyl, and your boat is almost new. I'm just sick of reading the same old posts by different owners singing the same song. Crane interiors was the name attached to the front combing pad when I removed it. I spoke with Paul Berube at Boaters Exchange in Rocklege, FL and they have a on site canvas shop that is OUTSTANDING! The are looking into mfg and selling replacement cushions for WC owners. We will see.
