Bait tank paint

Postby Tictactug » Thu Jan 12, 2017 2:41 am

Any of you paint your bait tank?

My factory one on my 266 is gray and it's a bitch to see bait, shrimp or crab that I often times throw in there.

I was thinking about paining it but I don't know what I should use.

Anyone already traveled this road that can offer some advice?

I would try to fix(replace the light) on the inside of the tank.

Paint won't last on the polyethylene tank. I second replacing the original light with super brite LEDS. Many owners don't know there is a light in there.

The inside of the tank is grey. My other two boats it's been a lighter crème color.

I've already updated the light. But reaching my hand into a semi-lit bank tank full of Dungeness crab is a little challenging to say the least.

Our water in the Pacific Northwest isn't super clear so I think that adds a little to the problem.

Man up. Just stick your hand in there and let them little dungies grab you. You don't even need to look for em that way. Not real sure what to do about getting them to let go tho?..
