dash switch and fuel gauges

on our 250sf we have a three position swith on the dash between the yamaha electronic gauges does anyone know is this is on all wc's and or what it might be for I have activated it in all three positions and it appers it does nothing?

neither of my fuel gauges work any suggestions.

I had this switch on my previous 2001 226SF. The switch toggles left for the port fuel sensor, right for starboard, and center for off. It used to take a few moments for the gauge to register.

thanks for the info I just got to our wc and checked the switche and it is for the fuel gauges
