Looks good! I really like that V-lock. Looks like the perfect solution. I guess you thought its strong enough for 1 to handle all potenial loads.

Yes it's solid, and I have starboard attached to the backside of the strap hinges that hold the live well lid. They are like a shelf to keep it from tipping side to side.

thats a serious investment with all those Lee's rod holders. I'm intrigued. more pics please. What did you use for a backing plate for the mounting hardware?

Did not use a backing plate.Put some 4200 and ,large self tapping screws in the V-LOCK MOUNT.I can sit on it and it does not budge. And , of course, with rods in it, 6 at around 400.00 a piece, plus the cost ofbuilding it,which I did myself for around 375.00, I tested it at the dock once it was all cured.I took all 6 lines, which would never be used to fish, set the drags at the strike position and ran down the dock, and tied them to a piling for two hours.Thats a test!!! Nothing moved. ;) :o Iguess if I wanted to and if access was not a pia, I'd put a plate on the back, but I am confident it won't go anywhere.
