320EC auxilliary fuel tanks

I am looking into having custom tanks made to shoehorn into the space under the combing pads where the under gunnel rod holders are.
I'll be happy with 2 - 20-30 gallon tanks that could dump straight down into main tanks.Anyone have any advice, ideas, issues with this plan?
What does world cat recommend about auxilliary tanks?

How many 320 owners do we have and which 320 owners contibute to the WCC forum.

I believe this question would also apply to all the 330 owners as well. Don't the 330s have under gunnel rod holders in the back and less than 300gal fuel tanks??

No. The 330's have 300 gal of fuel. We also have in gunnel tackle boxes that take up the possible space where you are referring to placing your saddle tanks.

Charlie,

I run my 33 with (2) 50 gallon fuel bladders from ATL. I plumbed them for direct suctiion from the engine racors via a 3 way valve, (1) bladder per engine. I run on the bladders until it runs out which is about 100 miles, switch the 3 way valve to the main tank, role them up, but them in a factory supplied bag and put them in the anchor locker.

I now use my 320EC (2007) for long distance cruising. My Garmin 3210 shows 4600 miles traveled to date. Fuel burn avg. 1 gal. per mile, so I have to plan not to over extend my days run on the outside. My trips run north to Norfolk, Va. and south to Fernandina, Fla.

The longest leg to date was 200 miles from Charleston to St. Simon's, on the outside. That still gave me plenty of reserve.

I want to extend my day's range and like the fuel bladder idea. Where do you store the bladders when full and how/where do you connection them to the three way valve?
