29cc

Postby RON.D » Mon Feb 25, 2008 6:22 pm

I would like to see the console built like the everglades boats, more protection without giving up to much space! also using two multifunction gages (digital) for engines.I also would like to see a marine head in the console with enough room to use it,just my two cents,Ronald :D

In this forum WC wants to know what we like. To be balanced, dislikes should be considered equally valuable. With that in mind I have to say.....

I think Everglades got a bunch of things wrong and walked off their boat (at the AC show) wondering how much their engineers actually use their boats.

I agree plenty of protection is a good thing and multi functional gauges are nice but many things were not thought through.

I didn't make a list, just going from memory of their larger boat, but i had the same feeling one gets from walking up to the ugly girl with a great body..... She look's good from far and Far from good. :o (when up close)

The collapsible fighting chair wasted tackle center space and I doubt would work over the outboards

The power seats I'd use once, to set, then would surely not last in the marine environment and could/would "leak" power.. no thanks.
The hatch to the hard top/second station did not open to full vertical, so anyone using it would have to shimmy up on and angle...ridiculous
The forward area looked like a patio set up, not a fishing boat, it can't be both.

Just way to many gadgets. I def. preferr the "Kiss" method.

Glenn,

I can't agree more! Too many of the boat builders, are intense when it comes to saleable "eye candy".

KISS reasoning for me, when it comes to a fishing boat. Less gadgets = less maitenance = more fishing time.

Guys,

Thanks for the feedback, yes we want to hear what you don't like as well as what you like! In talking to Jim and many other hardcore (I don't think they make too many as "hardcore" as Jim) fisherman we've heard about eye-candy such as sinks vs other options...

To talk about things you like on the Everglades, do you like the windshield setup and the forward bow wraparound seating? We think both of those features would be beneficial to all, specially the protection from the weather, and ability to get canvas with a windshield wiper option. Please provide feedback!

That being said about Jim, if you talk with Sharon he's just a big teddy bear anyways :)

Regards, Chris

A 33FS (forward seating) would be a nice option instead of the current storage locker(cabin).

Chris,

I have one of the 1st new styles 33TE which is an 07 that I purchased last year. The few things I have done that I would have like to see as options or improvements are:
1) Fresh water washdown hose connection like the sea water hose connection
2) Curtains around the driver/semi crew
3) Saltwater crossover for flushing the toilet
4) Bypass valve for sewage discharge direct while at sea
5) Seal all of the water leaks into the center console
6) Better wire/terminal/fuse marking under the center console
7) Never enough fuel capacity (I would like to see 400 gallons)
Anyway, awsome boat.
