Re: Bait tank paint

I would try to fix(replace the light) on the inside of the tank.

Re: Need a boat cover for a 270 TE

Seems like this is a popular item for world cat owners. I've looked for one for several years for one that would work and have not found one yet. I've had two local canvas companies measure the boat and quote covers using sunbrella. $2700 was the least expensive which was more that I want to spend. ...

Re: Repower 2001 266sc - 4-stroke Question

Funny, I was just posting this same information to someone on THT. My 270SF with Yam 225's cruises at 34mph at 4200rpm getting 1.5-1.6mpg in smooth conditions. Running at 4500 rpm gains maybe 1 mile per hour at 1.4 mpg. WOT is 49mph. Realistically, your cruise speed is going to be determined by sea ...

Re: Batteries

When you say standard battery panel with three switches, I am thinking you have a VSR. If not, then disregard this information, but, if you do have a VSR, then you should google how to check the voltage on both sides of the switches with the motors on and off to insure the VSR is functioning correct...

Re: Starting issue

First thing I would check is the integrity of the battery cables and connections. Previous poster mentions the same thing, but, I would use a multimeter and follow this procedure: TESTING FOR VOLTAGE DROP. Locating the voltage drop is done with a very simple test. This test should be done where ever...

Re: Courtesy Light Replacement

If it is the same one they used back in 99, I took mine apart and got the model number, did all the research and found it was no longer available. I did find a small three way toggle switch that fit in the opening and served the same purpose of "off, white, red". It was still working when I ...

Re: Garmin 3210 Replacement

you could buy another 3210 for $500 on Ebay if you like that model, but, the size is pretty close to a number of others like the 1040xs for example. Re cutting the dash should not be a very big issue provided you have room.

Re: What are these stains?

I've had good luck using WD40 on my vinyl. But it would not remove those stains. An upholsterer gave me the WD40 tip. I thought the stains in the picture looked like the old blue or purple stains from several years back that appeared due to some chemical characteristic in the material. You can do a ...
