Re: 1999 266SF vs newer 266's and 270's? What changed?

I had a 99 226sf for 9 years and have had an 08 270sf for 3 years. Regarding the stuff you are interested in, such as stress cracks, hull design, transom material, etc., there is not a whole lot of difference that I know of. If you get a good hull, and I've only heard of three or four that were not,...

Re: Port/Starboard and Variance in Fuel Consumption

My yamaha's do the same thing. Port always burns less than starboard. I don't think there is anything wrong.

Re: Adding four bladed prop to World Cat 266

nothing wrong with my rpm's, hole shot, top end. I've run the numbers on my prop slip and they are really good at 5% running WOT. I would like to stay on plane at slower speeds which was the OP's finding with the 4 blade props. Ken at prop gods said it might be worth a try, but, followed up by sayin...

Re: Adding four bladed prop to World Cat 266

I wonder if anyone, with a 266 hull, has experimented with 4 blade props on the Yam 225's. I would like to see the comparison particularly if you could plane a a lower speed. All other factors, hole shot, handling, traction are fine, but, it would be great to stay on plane slower.

Re: replacing scuppers and thru hull fittings

Things have changed since I did that project 3 years ago. Even then, I did have to enlarge one of the holes on each side of the boat which was tough since it was on a lift at the time. Other than that, the project is pretty straight forward and is nothing but time and elbow grease. I think if I was ...

Re: Repower 2001 266sc - 4-stroke Question

Good choice on the EVO2 and transducer. I like using navionic charts for the bathy lines and it works well on this MFD. I am happy with mine, although, I bought the package at the Miami boat show when they were first introduced and had a bad time with the software. It took several updates, but, even...

Re: Repower 2001 266sc - 4-stroke Question

Once completed, please post performance information similar to what I posted earlier in this thread. I'll be curious to see if you are getting the same numbers.
