Re: Forum issue with registration

World Cat doesn't seem to be actively involved in this forum anymore. Historically, one of the engineers and a customer support person would be on here regularly. Many of the good contributors have either passed away or got so frustrated, they no longer post here. It's a shame, because I learned a l...

Re: New instrument panels 266SF

Nice Job.

The acrylic looks really sharp. I think that may be the route I go when redoing my console.

How did you attach the acrylic to the console? If you screwed it from the backside, can you see any of the screws in the acrylic?

Re: Refueling Tanks

Make sure the fuel fill hose from the fill to the tank(s) are not kinked. You could also be having issues with the limit vent valve or inlet control valve. You may also want to check your fuel vents to make sure there aren't any obstructions. For more information regarding the fuel system, see page ...

Re: 266 SF control cable length?

When I replaced mine, WC wasn't much help. They referred me to a dealer, dealer referred me to WC...and so on.

I ended up pulling my lines and taking a measurement. Boat Steering Solutions had them built and to my door within a week.

Re: Engines lay off to the side when tilted

Do you find yourself having to re-align the motors? If so, you may have a corroded cylinder wall in one, or both, of your hydraulic rams. You would need to pull the glands off the ram and remove the cylinder from the motor so you can look through the cylinder. I've had 2 of them go bad.

upgraded transom brackets

I'm considering upgrading the motors on my 2001 WC 226 from F115 to Evinrude 150s. The 150s weigh less than the current motors, but I'd still like to install the transom brackets.

What did you guys pay for the bracket and did WC provide new capacity plates for your boat?
