246dc windshield hinge

Anyone know how to fix or upgrade my windshield hinge? I have a request in at WC and we’ll see what they come up with, but wouldn’t mind a whole new hinge if that’s feasible. The plastic “quick connect” pictured is failing.

Re: 246DC prop slip

First off, prop slip calculations are quite often off due to the props not being perfect, being cupped etc. Suzuki and powertech props are known for this. Also, with my Suzuki 150s I am at 34 mph at 5000 rpm and 44 mph at wot (6000-6100rpm) loaded down pretty good. I drove a 250 D.C. With hondas and...

Re: Adding windshield to 266LC

Very nice! I've always wanted a 266 D.C. too. Looks great, and I bet it really blocks the wind. Surprised you had to work that hard to get someone to build you one.

Re: Bulkhead separation on a 320CC

I heard that was a problem associated with early production 320's. something to do with a new method of Glueing the bulkheads in that WC was told would work great. Guess it didn't work out so well, I would imagine that the company that sold them that is probably out of business too. That's Just spec...

How much are you willing to spend? I have one in Texas that I may be willing to part with. Email me at robbihyland@yahoo.com for details.

Looks great, I will have to look into replacing my aluminum now, didn't realize it would be that easy.

Looking forward to your story. We have done extensive work to our 246 over the 7 years that we have owned her. Have loved owning her!

Re: New Cat Owner, 98 266SF

Yes, that is beautiful water, and again what a great restoration. It is great that you have a dry bilge, but the reason that I mention the thru hulls is that old plastic ones tend to be very brittle and break off at the worst time.

Re: New Cat Owner, 98 266SF

Great job, the boat looks awesome! Don't forget to change out those through hulls, hate to see her on the bottom of the ocean after all that work. Also, let us know how the high speed handling goes with her trimmed up.

Re: RPMs

Fish pirate has it figured out, you may be able to do it out without disconnecting the cable by comparing it to the other engine at full throttle.
