2006 33 TE with 2014 Yamaha 300s. We cruise at 28kts 4300 rpm at 1.1-1.2 nmph. Top end is mid to high 40s depending on fuel load.

33TE owner here, and can not say enough about the boat.. a few answers to your questions. - yes you can safely fish off the front.. I even ride up there in big seas. - yes you can lock your tackle in the front cabin area, that said it could be pried open if someone wanted it bad enough.. no differen...

We have a Garmin 4kw 4ft open and can easily see individual and small groups of pelican as we are crossing the bay, that said it certainly lacks the power to see birds at any real distance offshore and is not worth purchasing for that purpose. It is almost a nuisance in the bay at dark as birds pain...

Mike We have gone to lengths to try to do the same thing you want to do. We gave up. Short of a fairing block there is nowhere in that massive boat to put a 2-3k inhull ducer. We thought the same as you about under fishbox but it is simply too far fwd in the boat. I suppose a very talented glass guy...
