Re: Question about the 330TE

Frayed, There is no comparision of the 33 to the 27. I had both and to be honest I was not impressed with the ride of the 27. The 27 is very sensitive to trim and will beat you up after 4 foot seas. Ride on the 33 and you will be very impressed, 3 to 4 foot seas is nothing on the 33. I have operated...

Re: Thinking of buying a 33 te

Witdasit, Like the beast said the hull did not change basically they changed the center console layout and t-top. This happen in late 07 and I do have the new style. I had a 01 266 TE and it did develop the gel coat cracks you were talking about. The crack did not run any deeper than the gel coat. M...

Re: Thinking of buying a 33 te

Witdasit, I have a 07 33TE with Yahama 250s. Great and awesome boat. I have operated all types of boats mono hull outboards, cat outboards and sportfisherman and the WC 33 beats any monohull in its range unless its slick calm. My 33TE gets 1.0 to 1.3 MPG with a cruise of 28 to 30 knots @ 4800 RPM de...

Re: Electronics on new 33

Moose, I have a 07 33TE with dual e120s. I have operated all types of electronics in all types of boats and run sometimes 100 miles in the dark. I also own a 41 albemarle with Northstar 6100s. I love both systems and would not suggest changing your e120s unless you are having problems with them or j...

Re: Cat vs Monohull question

Ben s,

I have to agree with you. It will take a 31 to 32 ft mono hull to ride like a 27 WC in 3 to 4 ft seas.

Re: 290 DC Autopilot Installation?

John, I have a 07 33TE with the TR-1 auto pilot. I have operated all types of boats from 65 footers on down and all types of auto pilots. My 33TE with the TR-1 gives me the best track I have every experienced and is very easy to calibrate. My other boat, 06 41XF Albemarle, has a Simrad AP and supris...

Re: Autopilot TR-1 vs. Raymarine

John, I have a 07 33TE with the TR-1 and I love it. I have dual C120 screens and still choose the TR-1. I have operated many types of auto pilots and I think the TR-1 is the best I have utilized. You can look as far back as you can and all you can see is a straight line. On top of that it is very ea...

Re: 320EC auxilliary fuel tanks

Charlie, I run my 33 with (2) 50 gallon fuel bladders from ATL. I plumbed them for direct suctiion from the engine racors via a 3 way valve, (1) bladder per engine. I run on the bladders until it runs out which is about 100 miles, switch the 3 way valve to the main tank, role them up, but them in a ...

Re: IKE ROLL CALL!

See the attached picture of my hunting camp in Grand Chenier LA. The storm surge was 10' which amounts to 4' above the land and 5' from getting into my camp. My camp is 3 miles north of the Gulf. The structures are ok but the yard is 3' deep in dead grass and cane from the marsh. What a mess but I w...

Re: IKE ROLL CALL!

Just got a very short email from Rick @ Heritage Marine. Seems they are ok with minimal damage to his house but he stated that the shop was a mess.
