Re: BF130 problems

If you changed the oil and had the hood off, did you bump any wires loose, maybe a spark plug wire?

Re: Anyone ever added a livewell?

You can find metal pickups and valves if you prefer, but all pumps are plastic. Worlcat puts a checkvalve in the pump o...

Re: Engines lay off to the side when tilted

Add the pvc to both sides, they can flop either direction if left straight up forward. I just go ahead and turn the motors to the side as I know they will end up there anyway, On another note, make a second set of pvc to hold the motors straight forward. If you have a steering hydraulic failure, bot...

Re: 1998 266SF transom support needed for Suzuki 200s?

The issue might be the extra horsepower and not just the weight to beef up the transoms.

Re: Downrigger

20180322_074732.jpg The short arms to the side allow you to easily attach your line to the release. Reaching over the transom is very difficult. 20180322_074748_001.jpg Rotating forward allows easy boarding. 20180322_074810.jpg I assume any brand of downrigger can have the arms shortened. There is ...

Re: Downrigger

Gimbal mounts should be small enough to store in a dock box. The rigger arms should be short, only to reach over the side. It is too far back to reach over the stern and be close to the props. A swivel base lets you turn them 90 degrees to the side. My downrigger arms are maybe 12 inches and the gim...

Re: Downrigger

If mounted directly with a swivel base, use a backing plate above and below.

Or try a gimble mount with a swivel base, you can remove them easily.

Re: Underwater Lights

I have tried a white and a blue here in fresh water here in Chicago. The white shows twice as much light as the blue. I didn't see any bait attacked. The motors block much of the light unless raised, so you cannot troll. I never looked on plane what they do. They cover quickly with normal scum and a...

Re: Battery Replacement or upgrade

I guess the Hondas charge properly, I have never had any problems. The terminal voltage is always on the mark.
