Re: Steering alignment problem

Tilt them up at least half way and turn hard to port or starboard....then open and close the tie valve in the access port between the engines. They will now be aligned. For storage either have them all the way down and straight or tilt them up and leave them hard port or starboard.

Re: may have too sell ):

I found a combination of several things when I sold mine...market is poor(so poor for WC used sales that my WC dealer wouldn't even consider a trade)....WC is a niche boat appealing to less people and thus less buyers....they depreciate more than you would expect. I felt very happy to get 60K for mi...

Re: Live Well Drain Down

Go to the plumbing section in Lowe's and buy a check valve and appropriate screw in barbs and put it in line on your fill tubing. My boat did not have one on either livewell. I accessed mine right under fish box/livewell. This will keep the water from flowing out the fill fitting. Just remember to t...

Re: Next boat opinions

Bill I bought a 31 Cape Horn with Yam 350's. I enjoyed the WC and had a good experience with it...but I am looking forward to the change. Not a bad word to say about the boat or the factory support while I owned the WC. I'll still come back here....lots of good information and owners.

Re: Suzuki service stinks!!

I think it is where you are and the dealer like Harry is saying. In my area Suzuki service has been good and I have never been down long for anything. Nothing major has gone wrong but any parts I have needed were gotten and installed in a reasonable amount of time.

Re: 270 EC Death Roll

My HT is basically the same animal. The weight on the nose requires you to trim up if you accelerate hard or past say 35 mph. Generally more in calmer water. In flat conditions I have to trim to 1/2 to 3/4 up to get the right attitude and no digging at higher speeds. Once you know this you won't get...

Re: Next boat opinions

Probably right on that Jim same reason I like to trade big ticket items vs sell myself. I could get more selling myself but that is a price percentage I don't mind to not deal with tire kickers, trips to show a boat 2-1/2 hours away or potential problems after the sale. Interesting thing is I called...

Re: Next boat opinions

Looks like I will have time to test both. Apparently due to the economy and their floor plan finance company my regional WC dealer is not taking trade ins on new or used boats. I have neither the time nor inclination to actively sell my boat. So, I will either have to wait until things change for th...

Next boat opinions

To those with some seat time in the 270, 290 and 330 I have a question. Do I need to go to a 330 to feel a big improvement in ride from my current 270? Is the 290 enough of a better ride to justify going to it from a 270? I don't want to go into a 290 and wish I had gone to a 330. I think the 290 is...
