Re: Help with digital control pad

Finally came to the conclusion that the keypad was shorted out after spending hours redoing all the grounds and wiring. So decided to redo it. Ordered 14 switches from bocatech, piece of 1/2 inch black plexiglass and seafoam glove box from boat outfitters. Cut the plexiglass and had the switch holes...

Re: Help with digital control pad

Thanks for the input, good info. My next question is does either one of you know a good systematic aproach to tracking down a bad ground. If i begin disconnecting each system one at a time would that isolate the short? Or do you just have to start at one end and go through to the other end on all sy...

Now the pad does not work at all, will not turn on anything. At the same time the lower pad works normally. It seems to have shorted out. Does anyone have any e...

Re: Best location for auto pilot compass

The manual says to locate it at a low center of gravity away from electronics. For this reason i glued mine to the top of the fuel tank as far back as i could get it. Was able to do this through the rear access plate on my 27te. Seems to work very well.

Decided to do a little winter fishing offshore at the rigs mostly jigging with speed jigs. Caught our limit of cobia and a few of other species. Was a good day.

Electric switch issue

Was trying to pump out my coffin box on my 2005 27TE, when i hit the port coffin box macerator button the raw water pump would come on. At that point i started hitting the other buttons and everything was mixed up, the buttons were operating other devices that they were not supposed to. Has anybody ...

Tuna trip without tuna

Headed offshore to find some tuna, we were locked and loaded with gear and bait. Then things went astray, my buddies boat running with me sucked op a rope in his shell destroying lower unit. Some of his crew through there bait and beer on my boat while he crept back to Biloxi on one motto. We where ...
