A. they are not needed on a properly designed hull.
B. they put undue stress on the lower unit.

Rconover, I have not heard of any issues...ask Scott Ellis...now that WC and Glacier Bay are owned bu the same company (PowerCat Group), he may have some inside info on the GB setup. Also, try to keep the steering centered and use the motor thrust to steer the boat when loading. Using the helm makes the back end of the boat swing in the opposite direction instead of the bow moving in the desired direction.

Thatset up is used on Glacier Bay boats. What's your reason for wanting it? It is not any more reliable and can be more difficult to service depending on the particular installation.

Do you mean a bow dodger? Any canvas shop should be able to make you one. A Quonsett hut is a huge half tube structure invented in Quonsett RI at the Sea Bee base. They used them as warehouses, barracks (remember Gomer Pyle), and open bay maintenance areas.

My guess is that you are hitting the fenders. Try adding carpetted boards on the fenders. The 330 is VERY easy to load once you have been shown the right way.
