Re: Holes in bottom 266sc

World Cat promoted the '' Vector Flo Hull " that used the triangular bump out in the tunnel too mix air for a "smoother ride". "Vector Flow'" is still listed on the WC website . I assumed the holes added air.

Re: Holes in bottom 266sc

Those holes were stock and allow air to be added to the tunnel. WC had a name for the process in their advertising. The added air helps break suction when the hull buries in waves and supposedly increases comfort. The early hulls were prone to cracking at the forward tunnel to anchor locker joints. ...

Re: Help with digital control pad

Usually if something else turns on it means there is a bad or partial ground and there is negative back feeding through the positive side. The fact that nothing now works probably means the partial connection is now broken. Check all your power connections going all the way back to the batteries.

Re: BF130 problems

I would check few things before messing with the fuel system and ignition . First check your tachometers . You can swap the tach signal wires to the other sides then run a test at full throttle and see if the readings stay the same or switch sides(tach problem). Do the engines sing the same sound at...

Yes, that diagram is what I tried to describe. I left off the separate hose going to the wash down pump near the port battery.

Re: Requesting pics of 266 livewell set up

The two boxes across the stern were not live wells. They were designed as insulated storage for iced fish with a drain in the bottom. They lack a edge lip and a tight cover to prevent sloshing over. The 266SF(1998) stock live well was a 35 gallon round barrel that was contained under the helm seats c...

Re: 1998 266SF transom support needed for Suzuki 200s?

Some of the 1998-2000 266WC hulls developed transom flex after a few years of use. My 1998 266SF, with 130 Hondas, went 5 years(500hrs) before needing to have the transoms rebuilt with a stronger composite by the factory. The reinforcing brackets stop the flexing and resulting failure of the transom...

Re: 1998 266 SF Scupper Flaps

I had some rubber scraps from an old tube and cut my own with large scissors. They were a little thinner, but worked okay for years. Auto parts stores might have rubber gasket material you could use.

Re: Move Batteries into the center console-266SF

I think that is a good move. I have worked on a WC with the 2 stock batteries and two house batteries in the center console. I also know of a 25 Sea Cat with 4 batteries in the center console. Make sure too use proper sized cables for the long run to the engines and avoid joining cable lengths toget...

Re: Electric switch issue

Sounds like a bad ground. The high amp macerator is seeking another route to ground through the other devices. First check the main buss accessory connections. A poor connection can show proper voltage but not be able to pass sufficient current. You should take care of this right away. This is a fir...
